Israeli media outlet Haaretz bring us coverage of Atlanta Jewish Times' recent op-ed by some guy named Andrew Adler. In this op-ed he is claiming, as usual, Iran to be the big bogeyman and gives a rundown of options for Netanyahu's extremist government. Haaretz writes:
Adler, who has since apologized for his article, listed three options for Israel to counter Iran’s nuclear weapons in an article published in his newspaper last Friday. The first is to launch a pre-emptive strike against Hamas and Hezbollah, the second is to attack Iran’s nuclear facilities and the third is to “give the go-ahead for U.S.-based Mossad agents to take out a president deemed unfriendly to Israel in order for the current vice president to take his place and forcefully dictate that the United States’ policy includes its helping the Jewish state obliterate its enemies.”
Now we have all kinds of fallout from this. From the director of the American Jewish Committee in Atlanta to Abraham Foxman, the Anti-Defamation League talking head, they're once again foaming at the mouth. This time it's about one of their own, and it's an American J-Street type and not the Ultra-Orthodox variety that spits on little schoolgirls and whatnot. You just can't make this shit up.
